World Leukemia day

September 22, 2019

Identifying the signs and symptoms of chronic myeloid leukemia, in addition to do the annual health checkups, is essential to encourage early detection and adequate treatment.

Some of the symptoms can be: generalized tiredness, night sweats, weight loss, fever, bone pain or tenderness, discomfort or ambdominal infections due to enlargement of the spleen (a mass is felt under the left side of the ribcage), pain or a feeling of fullness in the stomach, and bleeding.

However, keep in mind that this list is not exhaustive. In addition, the cause of these symptoms may be other than leukemia. In case of any prolonged pain or symptom, your doctor should be consulted for blood tests.
